Lubbock’s Unpredictable Weather Keeps Us Guessing All Day Long
There’s something deeply untrustworthy about today’s weather in Lubbock...and the forecast that follows it:
You wake up, and it’s cold. Not “grab a light jacket” cold. No. More like, why is it raining and 50 degrees cold? Immediately, your entire personality shifts. You’re canceling plans. You’re making coffee you didn’t even want. You’re reflecting on your life.
You're thinking, "It's a great day for Netflix in bed."
Then by mid-day, it’s like the weather remembers it lives in West Texas and starts acting up. The rain chills out, the temperature creeps up, and suddenly you’re thinking, “Okay, well, maybe today will still be a nice day...”
Wrong.
Because the real issue isn’t the temperature. It’s the emotional whiplash. You dressed for one version of the day, but now you’re stuck living through three completely different seasons before dinner. Typical Lubbock.

Also, let’s talk about the betrayal of hope. You check the forecast and see warmer days coming, and for a brief moment, you trust it. That’s on you. This is Lubbock. Stability is not part of the brand.
And somehow, no matter what the weather does...rain, clouds, random warmth...you’re still dealing with wind. Always wind. That part never seems to take a friggin' day off.
At this point, the forecast isn’t even helpful. It’s more like a vague suggestion of what your day might feel like emotionally.
And honestly? That tracks.
