Lubbock’s Cast Iron Grill Responds To Hilarious Customer Review
Lubbock's Cast Iron Grill (620 19th Street) has great reviews, with an overall 4.5-star rating on Yelp (and we all know how fussy Yelpers can be).
People can't get enough of Cast Iron Grill because of the homecooked breakfast and Southern-style favorites. Some reviews mention the amazing smell as soon as you walk in, the attentive and sweet service, the Texas-themed decor, and more positive things that make Cast Iron Grill special, unique, and worthy of a 5-star review.
One recent 5-star review is incredibly positive but then has a twist ending. Honestly, the review reads like a short story and I'll take you on that journey soon. It's hilarious.
But first, I'd be remiss not to mention a few more things that make Cast Iron Grill a Lubbock institution. "A picture is worth 1000 words," as the cliche goes, but I think it's appropriate if we are discussing this photo here:
Those 1000 words certainly include "mouthwatering!" Cast Iron Grill has been open at its current location since 2013, making down-home scratch favorites ever since- earning a dedicated following. My only complaint is that they aren't open 24/7/365 but I'm sure they like having a life outside of work, too.
Now, are you ready for this Buckwild review? Buckle up!
Easy access off the loop, plenty of parking, plenty of seating but we were early and noticed the place fills up fast. The place was clean and service was excellent, never an empty glass of tea. Lots of choices on the menu to choose from what we ordered was delicious. I can't remember what we ordered cause I ate a couple of gummy's [sic]about an hour before we went, actually, I'm not even sure if this is the place we ate at.
My first thought was, "Where else could they have possibly eaten?" and I got alarmed because there is not much around that area. And then I imagined them tipping over a trash can like a couple of raccoons.
Cast Iron Grill responded to the review on their Facebook in a light-hearted way:
