LUBBOCK, Texas - A local dog is lucky to be alive today after being discovered stuck down a sewer drain near the new Amazon Fulfillment Facility off East Hunter Street in Lubbock.
Here's the deets:
Just after 11 am yesterday, Lubbock Fire and Rescue responded to a call to help a poor dog out of a bad situation. The caller found the pup stuck down at the bottom of a sewer drain, unable to free itself.
Lubbock Fire and Rescue called additional assistance after they arrived, and got an extra hand from the Lubbock Fire Rescue's Heavy Rescue team, the City of Lubbock Public Works Department, and Lubbock Animal Services.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
Lubbock Fire Rescue shared a few photos of the rescue action along with a post about the incident on their Facebook page.

Happy Ending!
I'm so glad the dog made it out alive! And, it looks like it's up for adoption in a few days if nobody claims it as their baby. What would you name it? Looks like a "Lucky" to me.
Shout out to all of the good folks in Lubbock who came together to save this sweet pup! You guys rule! Thank you for everything you do to keep the citizens of Lubbock and their furry friends safe! You guys don't get enough hugs. I hope you at least got a few licks of gratitude from the pup you saved.
