Exciting news. Lubbock can look forward to dramatically reduced spays and neuterings with the P.E.T.S. Clinic, anticipated to open in Lubbock in March 2020 at 2207 34th Street.

"We're excited to impact the town in a positive way, by providing low cost spay and neuter and wellness services for Lubbock and surrounding areas, enabling people and their pets to stay together and cutting down on intakes for rescues and shelters," P.E.T.S. Executive Director for Lubbock Angie Skinner shared with us.

This P.E.T.S. non-profit clinic has had tremendous success in Wichita Falls, where they have supported the community with thousands of low cost spay/neuters. This has helped intake levels at area shelters reduce dramatically in recent years, according to Skinner.

Additionally, a P.E.T.S. Clinic opened only about four months ago in Amarillo, and they have already performed at least 2,000 spay neuters, Skinner said.

The need is great here in Lubbock, as well. Lubbock Animal Services has seen record numbers of intakes and is doing a tremendous job managing a very crowded facility.

A fundraiser for this much-needed Lubbock clinic is set for February 15th at the American Windmill Museum, 1701 Canyon Lake Drive in Lubbock, from 5:30-8 p.m., Skinner told us. Enjoy dinner, powerful keynotes, a silent auction and more. Make plans to get out to support our new P.E.T.S. clinic.
