Mike Portnoy Sweeps Up Two Awards At Drum! Magazine’s ‘Drummies’

The legendary drummer picked up the award for "Best Drummer" and "Best Progressive Drummer" through the seventeenth-annual DRUM! Magazine's reader poll.

Over 9000 votes were sent in, and the majority of those votes claimed that Portnoy was the best dude in the business.

Whether you agree or not, I have to say that he's definitely a badass, plus he's a cool dude in person. Seeing him live with Adrenaline Mob was an unforgettable experience.

Congrats to Portnoy on his achievements, and I definitely hope we see and hear more of him in the upcoming future.
