Lubbock Sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to Red Sun Rising Singer Mike Protich [Video]

Red Sun Rising played Lubbock, Texas Wednesday, June 1, which also happened to be singer Mike Protich's birthday. So the crowd did what any awesome crowd would do: sang "Happy Birthday to You" for the singer.

In the video above, which was graciously provided to FMX by listener Spencer Newman, the crowd at Backstage Lubbock serenaded Protich while he was presented a birthday cake onstage.

Protich was very thankful to the crowd and FMX deejay/Backstage Lubbock owner Driver for the gesture.

"Thank you guys so much, Driver, thank you so much. Cheers to you guys," said Protich, adding: "My last year in my 20s starting right now."

Happy birthday, Mike. Here's to 29 more years of rocking.
