Missing Man Found Dead by Lubbock Police

Thursday evening (January 24th), the Lubbock Police Department announced the end to the search for a missing man.

The body of 44-year-old John Franklin Chance was found Thursday afternoon in the 10000 block of Frankford Avenue.

In a brief statement, LPD said foul play is not believed to be a factor in Chance's death.

Chance was last seen approximately 6:20 p.m. on Monday, January 21st, walking eastbound in the 5800 block of 107th Street.

No other details have been released concerning Chance's death or disappearance.
