A Fresh And Colorful Lubbock Original Expands To Amarillo

Opening a new concept in late 2020 was perhaps the bravest, riskiest, and remarkable thing a restaurant owner could do.

But that's what the owners of Lubbock's location of Tikka Shack did when they opened their orginal concept Motomedi. I remember being so excited for this new addition to Lubbock- I even wrote about it.

Now, Lubbock has 2 Tikka Shack locations and 2 Motomedi locations. I am a big fan of all four. Luckily for our neighbors to the north, they will now get a fresh, colorful taste of what Lubbock has to offer.

Motomedi in Amarillo Opening Date

Amarillo's Motomedi location will open this Friday, August 22, at 2301 S Georgia St., according to a Facebook post from the brand.

What To Expect At Motomedi Amarillo

I know a line around the block of Lubbockites who would love to gush to our Amarillo friends about Motomedi. If this location is like the two in Lubbock (and I imagine it is), this is what Amarillo can expect:

Fresh, flavorful, and healthy grains, greens, veggies, and proteins topped with signature sauces, delicious garnishes and served with dips and freshly made flatbread. My go-to bowl is usually something like:

Fluffed wheat, chicken kofta, roasted veggies, white garlic sauce, Turkish pickles, feta, olives, and pickled cabbage. I am obsessed with their Baba Ghanoush and Pista Feta dips.

And don't forget to ask for the free ice cream with delicious, decadent coffee syrup after your meal!
