National Brownie Day: Celebrate This Sweet Treat Tonight With United

It's National Brownie day- celebrating dessert's most fudgy, yummy, decadent dessert. Whether you're a corner or a middle (I'm a corner) it's really hard for a brownie to be bad. That being said, there are better, shall we say elevated, brownies out there, and United makes these brownies every day.

In honor of the holiday, United is offering $1 off all of their bakery brownies. With flavors like M&M, turtle, German chocolate, and more, there's a brownie that's going to hit you're sweet spot perfectly.

Why does United do it? Because like a charming tree in a Bob Ross painting, brownies are "a happy little accident":

The hope is that everyone can have a chance to take a moment to indulge in the simple treat that was actually invented by mistake.

The first brownie ever made, like other culinary mishaps (the sandwich, pizza, potato chip) was actually a mistake. The baker didn't have baking powder and ended up with an unleavened fudgy treat.

 

Who knew the lack of baking powder would transform cake (pretty boring, in my opinion) to the magic that is a rich, decadent brownie.

Even though I've had United brownies dozens of times, I'd like to personally thank United for bringing us little "sample size" brownies to try, but as you can see this little guy is really plenty. The bakery brownies are perfect for sharing, or absolutely gobbling up with a glass of milk.
