Lubbock has lost one of its four Dunkin Donuts locations. The location at 11435 Quaker Ave. is now closed. But why?

I love Dunkin Donuts. It's delicious and affordable, and if you're in the "know" then you know that they have absolutely crave-worthy avocado toast in addition to all the yummy any-time breakfast items and of course, a wide variety of coffee drinks. Honestly, my favorite is just a regular latte, and they always make mine right.

I also have really fond memories of trying out Dunkin drinks with my beloved and very missed Sister Kelly. Dunkin has always been down to do fun and silly radio stuff, which I really appreciate. The Rockshow featuring this guy did a blindfolded taste test of several flavors and for some reason, the photos came out- creepy? I guess blindfolds are inherently creepy. See for yourself:

The drinks were dang good though!

So yeah, I'm pretty sentimental about these coffee and donut shops. I won't despair though, there's plenty of Dunkin to go around still.

Here's Why 11435 Quaker closed: This location closed simply because it was not seeing quite enough traffic. Instead, the focus will be on continuing to provide excellent service at Lubbock's three other Dunkin Donuts locations:

4328 50th Street

7723 Milwaukee

7901 University

Don't rule out a new location in another part of town, either. I could see Tech students really benefiting from a good, quick, and inexpensive breakfast. And we all know that Northwest Lubbock is absolutely exploding too. I don't have any insider information about this, but as soon as I get some, y'all know I'll spill the coffee beans.
