Paul Wall to Perform in Lubbock Saturday at Raider Alley

Texas-born rapper Paul Wall will perform at Raider Alley this Saturday, as part of a series of concerts Lubbock has enjoyed this football season.  Texas Tech will be taking on Oklahoma Sooners at 6:30 p.m. Music at Raider Alley starts at 4:30 p.m. The announcement was made on the official Texas Tech Athletics Twitter:

Paul Wall had a huge hit with Sittin' Sideways, a track he recorded with Big Pokey, who will also perform in Lubbock. DJ Born will perform as well.

Paul Wall has collaborated with so many other rappers that it might be easier to list who he doesn't have a track with. Paul Wall has rapped alongside Mike Jones, Nelly, Kayne, Slim Thung, Young Dolph, T-Pain, and more.

Paul Wall is the latest in a series of performances brought to Raider Alley this year, The last home game had a very different musical vibe with 90s jangle pop The Gin Blossoms performing. I appreciate the variety and diversity brought to Raider Alley. Texas Country is great, but it doesn't have to be every time and I think Raider Alley is getting it right this year.
