Peelander-Z Brings Japanese Bizzaro Punk Rock Back to Lubbock April 10th
So Many Mike!
If you haven't experienced the joy of a Peelander-Z show, I really do feel sorry for you. This upcoming show will be my fourth time seeing the band, and I'm just as excited as the first time.
Peelander-Z is a "Japanese Action Comic Punk Band," complete with costumes, puppets, nametags for everyone, and singing and dancing along. It's like being a kid in the audience of a children's show on acid -- and you can drink the whole time. Also, you get to beat on dog bowls. I really can't overstate how fun and ridiculous it is.
Furthermore, the Peelanders typically hang out after the show for pictures and autographs. It's a really good time.
The opening act is Lubbock's own heavy awesomeness, Ulosa. The show is Tuesday, April 10th at Backstage Lubbock (1711 Texas Ave). $10, All Ages, and doors at 8 p.m.
