Philip Anselmo & The Illegals to Perform at Jake’s Backroom in Lubbock

Phil Anselmo, former frontman of Pantera, Down and Superjoint Ritual, is performing at Jake's Backroom (5025 50th Street), Friday, November 2nd, backed by The Illegals.

Supporting national act Child Bite, a "Detriot-based punk/metal/noise rock band" will also perform.

I have a pretty fond memory of crowd surfing during Superjoint and getting dumped unceremoniously on stage. Phil gently picked me up, looked me in the eye, smiled, and then threw me right back out into the crowd. I can't believe I didn't lose my purse.
