This Precious Baby Girl Is Lubbock’s First-Born of 2018

Baby girl Onyx Jackson is the first new Lubbockite of 2018.

I LOVE her name; a precious baby with a precious mineral namesake. Cute now, and elegant when she's grown. I've always loved names that come from nature. My daughter is named after a flower.

Onyx came into this world at 12:11 a.m. on January 1st, 2018 at University Medical Center. She's 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 18.5 inches long, according to Everything Lubbock.
