A Lubbock business property manager alleges that he was choked by a delivery driver on Monday, November 1st, 2021.

KAMC News reports that the incident began at around 9:40 a.m. when the driver arrived at a property in the 2700 block of 50th Street to drop off some containers. The victim and one other person say that they saw the driver drop off a container near some trees in the parking lot, damaging them in the process.

The suspect arrived again at a later time to drop off some more containers, but the victim asked him to move them since the trees had been damaged. The suspect then argued that the trees were too low and needed trimming.

This caused the victim and suspect to continue arguing, eventually escalating to the point where the suspect stepped towards the victim and allegedly grabbed him by the throat. The victim told police that he had his hands up and didn't attempt to strike the suspect at all during this.

Police noted that they didn't see any injuries to the victim.

As of Thursday, November 4th, the suspect still had not been located or publicly identified.
