If you've lived in Lubbock for any time at all, chances are you've attended the First Friday Art Trail (FFAT). It's a popular and large event, with incredible art, great vibes, and delicious food trucks.

Perhaps you are already craving that environment again, or maybe, like me, you failed to attend this month and would still like the experience without waiting until July.

Luckily, Lubbock's got you, with the 806 Block Party.

Of course, this event will differ from FFAT in scale, but will also offer its own unique experience with art vendors, live music sponsored by Flippers Tavern, and its BYOB. Now that's a party, so long as you drink responsibly.

The event is this Saturday, June 15th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at CASP Work Studios*, located at 408 Ave. J. It is free to attend but bring money because there are food trucks and you will want something from one of the amazing art vendors.

*The CASP Work studios are, "unique studios designed by architect Upe Flueckige" to give resident artists a place to live and display their work.

Got the kids? No problem, this event is open to all ages.

Additionally, the first 40 attendees will receive a free wood-cut magnet.

As you can see from the above flyer, the Block Party is planned for every month through October. It also has a nice little map to show you exactly where it's located. There are plenty of places to park near the area but you will likely need to walk just a bit to get there, so don't be unsensible in your shoe choice (this is me telling myself to wear flats).

It's going to be an epic party and I hope to see you there this month and every month until October!
