Record Store Day is a fantastic way to celebrate local and independent records stores with rare, exclusive and "first" vinyl record releases.

Ralph's Records (82nd & Indiana) is Lubbock's only independent and locally-owned record store and will have many of the RSD Drop 2 releases available on Saturday, July 17th, 2021.

In addition to providing access to all that rare vinyl, Ralph's will celebrate the day with incredible sales throughout the store, including:

  • 25-cent back wall overstock DVDs
  • $2 off all Blu-rays
  • $2 off all new and used CDs

...and more surprise sales throughout the day. However, if you want to increase your odds of getting the rare stuff, I highly suggest getting to Ralph's as soon as they open on Saturday at 9 a.m.

You can see the full list of potential vinyl drops at Ralph's Records at Record Store Day's official site, but remember, it's kinda like the lottery. Not every record store gets everything in because these titles are so rare. It's like a treasure hunt, so I suggest going in with that spirit of fun and adventure, rather than having a purely transactional attitude.

Here's my personal shortlist for Record Store Day Drop 2. I strongly suggest you check the full list, as there's some really unique and exciting stuff, even cassettes. I particularly want the "Weird Al" Yankovic single that's on 3-inch vinyl. So teeny!
