Imagine walking into a really nice laundromat and just taking a load full of random clothes. Hold on, I gotta get my bell ready.

That's exactly what one woman did. According to Amber Yates on Facebook:

Hey friends, yesterday morning I dropped my Laundry off at Caprock Laundry service for them to wash/dry for me. I got a call this morning saying that ALL of mine and Gladden’s clothes had been stolen out of the dryer. 😡If y’all see someone selling a bunch of women’s shirts and boys clothes on Facebook or craigslist let me know. This classy girl stole all of mine and Gladden’s clothes out of the dryer at Caprock. I’m not talking about a few things, It was pretty much all of Gladden’s clothes and my shirts/blouses. I have filed a police report and Caprock has been really cooperative and has provided video footage.

Caprock Laundry is a super professional place that has insurance to cover the loss of clothes, but still, clothing can be sentimental. What if the clothes had been gifts? Or are otherwise rare or irreplaceable?

The laundromat provided images and video of the suspect to Yates so she could put them out on her Facebook page and hopefully get a lead for police. And it worked.

According to Yates, the laundry looter was eventually arrested by the Lubbock Police Department. Even better: her son's clothes were recovered, though hers were not. We also spoke to the owner of Caprock Laundry, Sheila, who confirmed the good news.

We've reached out to LPD for more information about what happened and will update this story with what we can find out.

Again, I want to emphasize that Caprock Laundry isn't a sketchy place at all, so this is a really weird, really random crime. I've done plenty of laundry there over the years.
