RUN ZMB 5K Coming to Mackenzie Park in Lubbock on October 19th

RUN ZMB 5K is coming to Lubbock's Mackenzie Park (301 N Interstate 27) on Saturday, October 19th. Runners will have three "life strips" attached to their waist and must make it through the hordes to cross the finish line "alive."

Check in for runners begins at 9 a.m., and the race begins at 10 a.m. Luckily, the zombies will be the classic, slow-moving Night of the Living Dead type, and not the fast, swarming World War Z type. However, don't let that trick you into being careless. We've all seen how that works out in the movies.

Registration is available at RUN ZMB's official site, and volunteering as a zombie is free. Proceeds from the event will benefit local suicide prevention charities.
