Seagoville’s Wild Chase Ends With A Police SUV Showdown
Stealing is always stupid, but stealing from the police? Next level.
36-year-old Brandon Roy Boothe was spotted by police in Seagoville, Texas, driving a stolen Chevrolet truck. After leading cops on a long chase, he turned around and headed the opposite direction on I-20, where he crashed into another vehicle and then took off on foot.
Cops tried to subdue him with a taser, but he ran back the other direction and hopped into one of their marked police SUVs, thinking he was going to get away with it. Things did NOT go his way. Sgt. Ethan Sinclair engaged in a struggle with Boothe for the police cruiser, and at some point during the altercation, the gears shifted, causing the police car to crash into the stolen truck in reverse, while Sinclair was still partially outside of the vehicle, causing him to be dragged across the pavement.
The entire struggle for control of the car lasted about 2 minutes before another officer arrived with a taser. They eventually got Boothe into custody. The police later found handguns and ammunition in the stolen vehicle that initially caught their eye.
Boothe is facing a load of new felony charges today that he can add to his more than 20 record of terrible crimes. He's a known white supremacist and was already on parole with warrant violations. In other words, a complete and utter loser.
