Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me About Slaton Bakery Peach Wafers?
I feel like I wasted a lot of years not exploring the area more. Getting over to Slaton Bakery completely blew my mind.
I had heard many tales about the Slaton Bakery, but it always seemed like too much of a drive just for baked goods. After all, we have many fine bakeries around here. The truth is, it’s only around 20 minutes away, making it a fun little trip and certainly worth your time.
Fate Led Me To Slaton Bakery
Fate actually led me to the Slaton Bakery. My favorite BBQ stop, Smokin’ Dick’s in Post, had run out of dessert. That gave us the perfect reason to stop and load up at the Slaton Bakery instead.
Now let’s jump ahead to the present, where my ears perk up every time I hear someone mention the Slaton Bakery. I’m in. I’m sold. Let’s eat.
Peach Wafers Changed Everything
Even better, we had a visitor drop by not long ago with a selection of snacks. Among the selection of the renowned vanilla wafers was something I had never experienced before: Peach Wafers.
Now some of you are probably shaking your heads because this is old news to you, but why didn’t you tell me? Ordinarily, a plain cookie with no chunks of anything inside would be of zero interest to me. The Slaton Bakery Peach Wafers completely changed that.
They are simply delicious and absolutely sublime.
