Slaton To Celebrate Another Year of Puddin’ Festivities, Passes On Sale Now
I have said this many times and will say it again: Banana pudding is the best dessert to ever grace the human palate. Creamy, dreamy, banana-y. Absolute southern-style comfort food, especially fridge cold on a hot day.
What To Expect At The 3rd Annual Slaton Banana Pudding Festival
As someone who attended the first two years, I can give you a pretty good idea of what to expect this third year of the festival, which will be held August 30th, in Slaton, Texas (about 25 minutes southeast of Lubbock, in case you're new here).

• Very generous puddin' portions.
If you purchase a Puddin' Pass, you get 4 "samples" of different pudding flavors. The last two years, these have been quite generous, so sharing might be a good option. Or you can always take leftovers home, as these are thoughtfully packaged and served cold.
• Puddin' Passes can sell out, so buy in advance
There's only so much pudding in the world, so I strongly suggest you purchase your passes in advance so you're not disappointed. You can purchase them here. Last year, the passes were quite cutely laminated and came with an awesome themed lanyard.
• No Pudding? No problem
You don't have to buy a pudding pass to hang out in Downtown Slaton and attend the event. But I will be saddened by your no-pudding status.

• Vendors and small-town cuteness
Many excellent area vendors (including wine and beer!) have attended in the past, so bring a little spending money.
You'll likely also want to pick up some treats at the historic Slaton Bakery, which hosts the event. Seriously, try the petit fours, they are delicious, and you will feel fancy eating them.
You will likely also see some classic cars, hear some live music, and feel good vibes as you walk around collecting your pudding.
•Really remarkable pudding
Each year, every flavor has been outstandingly delicious. They haven't announced this year's flavors yet, but you can expect one of them to be the traditional favorite served by Slaton Bakery.
