Snow Falls in West Texas on April 1
This is no April Fool's Day prank. Snow actually fell in West Texas more than a week after the first day of spring.
The schizophrenic West Texas weather was on full display Friday morning.
The pictures above were taken around 6 miles west of Whiteface, Texas between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m. It snowed on and off in the area from around 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The weather didn't remain cold enough in the area for the snow to stick around for too long.
Weather forecasts in Lubbock for this weekend (April 2-3) are calling for sun, no precipitation and temperatures in the high 60s and 70s with lows in the 40s.
