The City of Lubbock Health Department will be hosting a "Source to Solution: a Regional Addiction and Recovery Symposium" at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center on Friday, November 8th.

The free event will feature professionals from law enforcement, the judiciary, healthcare, treatment facilities, academia, and laymen, as well as individuals in recovery, who will share their experience, strength and hope. Various vendors offering local recovery resources will be on site to answer questions and provide information about their services.

The day long symposium will include a morning session, conducted in a TED Talk format starting with the first speaker, Lubbock County Sheriff, Kelly Rowe. Additional speakers include Kurt Kiser from Fox34 News, Judge Ruben Reyes, and Lubbock City Councilman Randy Christian along with others who have experience with treating or surviving addiction and it's many consequences.

Lunch will be provided for free to attendees who register here. Registration is required for lunch so that enough food will be available.
