Original story: Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Panhandle South Plains Fair will indeed happen this fall.

According to the fair's website, this year's event will happen September 25th through October 3rd, 2020. The usual run of attractions are currently on the agenda for this year's fair, with a daily children's petting zoo, dozens of fair food stands, art and agricultural exhibits and shopping.

In addition, the long-running coliseum shows inside the Fair Park Coliseum are also confirmed to return.

This year's coliseum shows lineup is:

  • Mandisa -- Monday, September 28th, 2020
  • La Mafia -- Tuesday, September 29th, 2020
  • Tone Loc with Tag Team -- Wednesday, September 30th, 2020
  • Casey Donahew -- Thursday, October 1st, 2020

This year's ride lineup is impressive, with attractions like the Stinger, Enterprise and Sky Flyer for thrill seekers, and plenty more rides for the younger set, including favorites like the Fun Slide, Ice Palace and Wacky Mouse Coaster.

Folks looking to buy a Mega Pass can do so beginning Tuesday, June 30th.
