Of course, the biggest event of the season is the Panhandle South Plains Fair! I go every year, so here are some good things to know before you go.
Is The South Plains Fair Mega Pass Worth It?
If you plan on riding a lot of rides, or riding them on multiple days, a Mega Pass is Mega-Worth-It for the cash and time savings. A Mega Pass is $75.

With it, you receive a picture ID that allows you to get a wristband each day you attend the fair, and that gives you unlimited rides.
The only drawback is that you must purchase your Mega Pass by Saturday, September 13th. The Mega Pass is available online or at 1012 Ave A.
You also save time in line to buy ride tickets each day.
Does South Plains Fair Have A Bag Policy?
Yes. For the last few years, the South Plains Fair has only allowed clear bags. Here's the official policy:
All bags are subject to search. Bags must be Clear Plastic, Vinyl or PVC. Cannot exceed 12" x 6" x 12". Small clutch bags can be taken inside.
PROHIBITED BAGS INCLUDE
Purses larger than a clutch, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags and binocular cases.
How Much Is The Gate Fee, Parking, And Ride Tickets For The South Plains Fair?
Gate Fees are:
13 years and up=$10
2-12 years=$5
1 and under=no charge
Parking is $5 per car
Ticket costs depend on volume: (amount of tickets per ride varies)
1 Single $1.50
11 Tickets $15.00
22 Tickets $25.00
55 Tickets $55.00
