I'm all about shopping with local small businesses anytime I can and I recently came across one that specializes in hand-made accessories and treats for the furry friends in your life.

Bernadette Hernandez, of Lubbock, Texas, has been the owner of Sweet Pup Co. for 12 years and creates signature products for pets with her father, who is a disabled veteran. That's a pretty adorable story. My dad and I can barely make conversations with one another. I can only imagine us trying to make dog treats together. Haha.

Hernandez works with several rescue groups in the community and also shows her products off at the Wolfforth Farmers Market. I took a peek are her website to see what she had and snagged a few photos for anyone that might be interested in some cute and tasty items for their pups.

Here's a huge photo dump of adorable dogs that I want to cuddle, and some yummy-looking treats, courtesy of Sweet Pup Co.

I've already got three cats, but suddenly, I feel the urge to go out and adopt a dog. If you feel like I do, it might be time to hit up a local shelter for a new furry friend, and then head over to Sweet Pup Co. for a cute bandana.
