Areas around the Trinity River will remain under a flood warning until Tuesday morning, according to the weather service. The river is forecast to rise to 34.3 feet Monday evening; the flood stage is 30 feet.

Neighborhoods near downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and Fair Park were impacted by flooding Monday morning. The Dallas Water Utility recorded about 8.4 inches of rainfall in parts of Old East Dallas over 12 hours.

The Dallas Morning News also reported that the storms have caused hundreds of flight issues out of DFW and Dallas Love Field. Storms are expected to continue for the Dallas area throughout the week though chances of rain will go down each week.
