After the travesty that was Coldplay's version of "Fight For Your Right", it's good to see a real band pay a proper tribute to a musical legend. The Red Hot Chili Peppers did a few Beastie Boys numbers in concert the other night, and they stayed true to the vibe that was MCA.
I understand that everybody remembers in their own way. And there were a ton of tributes to the Beastie Boys and MCA after his untimely death Friday. But not this way.
