It’s been a windy week here in the hub city and it’s only a matter of time before we see another big dust storm.

Lubbock was hit by a huge dust storm yesterday that left everyone with a grainy taste in their mouth.

Shout-out to all of the people that are working hard on expanding Lubbock and Wolfforth while simultaneously getting whipped in the face by mother nature.

Last night featured a pretty intense thunderstorm that blew in a dust storm, or as you’ve probably heard it called, a Haboob.

Today we tackle an issue not unique to apartment dwellers, for a chance. This phenomenon plagues us all.

A video taken from the cockpit of an airplane was posted to TikTok by user @K_yadon and has currently been viewed over 700,000 times.

Lubbock has been the subject of a few nationwide stories. Some were good, most have been bad. So I grabbed five times we made it "big" in the news.

Lived in West Texas long? Then you know about the dust. Or do you? It gets everywhere including places you would never think. Or want.

One year ago today, Lubbock was hit with a major weather event known as a Haboob. Those of you that were here probably remember how the sky suddenly became dark and the entire city went dark as the wall of dirty and high winds literally blew into the city.

Now its not what you think it is, especially if you think like me. Its a real weather phenomenon normally seen in middle eastern deserts.
