The 10th "Rock is in my Blood" blood drive is underway, and if you couldn't make it by today; you still have five more days to roll up your sleeve and give blood.
The past five days, I have had the opportunity to meet some awesome people who came through the doors at United Blood Services during the annual Blood Driver event to donate.
As we head into day number five of the FMX Blood Driver, I am happy to say there has been a steady stream of awesome people taking time out of their busy schedules to help United Blood Services out by donating blood.
Every day local hospitals need between 110 to 140 units of blood to meet the needs of patients for various reason ranging from accidents to surgeries. Unfortunately, this time of year donations decrease because people get busy getting back into the school and work groove after the holidays and because of wide spread illnesses like the flu. However, the need for blood does not decrease.
