Texas State Representative James Talarico is scheduled to visit Lubbock soon, marking a notable appearance for the Democratic lawmaker outside his home area. The trip reflects Talarico’s growing presence and interest in broader regional engagement as he begins his bid for the U.S. Senate.

Who Is James Talarico?

According to Rep.Talarico's official campaign website:

James is an eighth-generation Texan, former middle school teacher, and Presbyterian seminarian. As a state representative, he’s led the fight against the billionaire mega-donors and puppet politicians who have taken over Texas.

Rep. Talarico is a rising star in the Democratic party, as he has appeared on several television shows and, perhaps most notably, The Joe Rogan Podcast during which he had a three-hour-long conversation with Rogan. Rogan would say during the podcast, "You need to run for president."

Talarico for Texas: Rally in Lubbock will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The venue is to be announced. "We'll have security on site with us for the whole event, and we'll update venue and parking information ASAP."
