Texas guitar great Bugs Henderson lost his battle with cancer last night, he was 69. Henderson, who was born in Tyler, lived and performed in Fort Worth. 

Bugs was had a strong cult following around the Lone Star state and beyond. His music was compared to blues greats like Eric Clapton, Freddie King and others and played with just about everyone in the business. He was even in a band with South Plains native, Delbert McClinton.

Henderson made his final appearance in Lubbock on July 29th, playing before a sold out crowd at the Texas Cafe.

Bugs Henderson was always a class act, both on and off the stage. He will truly be missed here in the Lone Star state and worldwide.
