23-year-old Jared James Dicus admitted to murdering and decapitating his new wife 21-year-old Anggy Diaz back in January 2023. He will spend the next 40 years behind bars in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for his actions.

Anggy Diaz was found behind Dicus' in a small cabin roughly 60 miles away from downtown Houston in Magnolia right behind Dicus' parent's home. Cops discovered the couple's cabin splattered with blood and her headless body lying on the floor near the bed. Her back was riddled with stab wounds. Court documents revealed her head was found on the shower floor.

The motive behind such a horrific crime isn't clear, however, police deputies mentioned there had been domestic violence-related calls from their home in the past.

Friends and co-workers fondly remember Diaz. Her former employer described her as a "very bright girl, full of energy, never negative" to Houston NBC affiliate KPRC.
