Texas is leading the charge downhill.

Texas Representative Chip Roy Delivers Hot Garbage

I am not one to comment on politics outside of a few social issues. I am going to call out waste and a hassle to ordinary Americans when I see it. Just when you thought they could come up with every possible way to make it hard to vote, they're trying to make it even harder. This is just ridiculous, and so far The U.S. House Of Representatives have bought into it and Texas Representative Chip Roy is leading the way.

Does Anyone Really Think Voter Fraud Is Real?

The bill is called the S.A.V.E., or Safeguard American Voter Eligibility act. Again, it's supposed to protect us from non-citizens voting, which is statistically non-existent, and would result in their deportation anyways. In order to be eligible to vote you would have to provide a passport or state issued I.D. card along with your birth certificate.

Texans, And Americans Already Have Real I.D.

Can we start with some low hanging fruit here? Real I.D. is the law of the land. Do you know what you have to present for a Real I.D.? That would be a birth certificate, a U.S. Passport, or a permanent resident card. I guess what this law is trying to do is eliminate those "permanent resident's" from the process.

Women & Elderly Will Be Most Adversely Affected

The real problem here is, married women. Imagine the red tape of presenting a birth certificate that does not match your I.D. because you were married. Older people might also have a problem providing a birth certificate just because of the ravages of time.

The Heritage Foundation Proves This Is Unnecessary

The Heritage Foundation, the ultra-conservative think tank has documented about 12 people a year voting when they shouldn't. All of this fuss, all of these disenfranchised voters, all of this wasted time and effort to try to eliminate 12 people a year. I would rather the focus be on fixing the price of the 12 eggs I buy every week.
