The Texas Tech Red Raider Football team will play their first game on ESPN+ against Houston Baptist with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM on September 12th. That means the Red Raiders will wear a blackout on the field in week one. The second game, on September 26th, will feature the Red Raiders against the Texas Longhorns at 2:30 PM on Fox.

The rest of the game times will be announced in the six to 10-day window prior to each game on the schedule.

The Houston Baptist game will be Texas Tech's home debut on ESPN+. If you don't have the subscription to the paid service from ESPN you'll need to get it if you want to watch Texas Tech. Fair warning, it won't be Texas Tech's last game on the subscription service.

Even moving forward for Texas Tech sports as ESPN+, branded as Big 12 Now, will also include Matt Wells' weekly press conference and the home contests for Texas Tech's volleyball, soccer, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball. The service costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 if you go ahead and lock it in for the year. Certain cable providers come with access to ESPN+ so it might be something you already have.

Another note for the Houston Baptist game is that the team will likely be wearing all black after Matt Wells instituted a rule last season that made every night game at Jones AT&T would be a blackout.

Texas Tech also announced via a press release that single-game tickets for all six home games inside Jones AT&T Stadium on sale Thursday morning via the Athletics Tickets Office. Tickets can be purchased by calling 806-742-TECH or by visiting TexasTech.com.
