In the grand scheme of things, the Saturday scrimmage for Texas Tech was meaningless. Sure, it was a productive practice, and there were nearly 100 ex-players there to join the new coaching staff, but as far as x's and o's go, there will be more meaningful snaps taken this spring.

That doesn't mean that it was useless.

For one special fan, the Fearless Spectator Luke Siegel, one snap was a difference maker. Siegel took the handoff from Alan Bowman at the 25 before knifing through the Texas Tech defense for a Red Raider touchdown.

It's a great thing to see a new coach, with few ties to Lubbock or Texas Tech, embracing the community and The Siegel family. Coach Wells has been preaching the 'We, Us, Our Program,' and on Saturday he showed us he's been practicing what he's been preaching.
