The TCU Horned Frogs gave the Red Raiders all they could handle on Tuesday, but Tech found a way to pull out its fifth consecutive win in conference play, which is a feat that hasn't been done before.

Texas Tech looked like an entirely different team during the first half the contest, going into the break down by 12, but career nights from Zach Smith and Aaron Ross enabled to door to open just enough, as the Red Raiders overcame the deficit to take the win 83-79.

Ross topped all Tech players with 25 and Smith was a close second, finishing with a career-high 23. Senior leader Toddrick Gotcher supplied 16 as well.

Tech moves to 18-9 on the season, as well as 8-7 in conference play, establishing the team as sixth in the Big 12 in a tie with Iowa State. The Red Raiders will play the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday at 11AM in Lawrence.
