That’s Hot: Lubbock-Born Popular Condiment Gets A Spicy Makeover
Is it hot in here? Or is it just the newest flavor sensation from the folks who brought us Big Wick's Smoked Jalapeno Glaze?
Featuring a big kick of serrano and habanero, this new condiment is sure to fire up your taste buds.
Introducing: Fuego, the newest offering from Big Wick's Smoked Jalapeno Glaze. Not only is it deliciously spicy, it's a beautiful color, too. Look at this pork belly glazed with Fuego!
I asked creator Wes Wicker why Big Wick's decided to expand their glaze into the hot zone.
We’ve had customers asking for more heat, so we brought it by adding Serrano and habanero peppers.
Ask and you shall receive. I also asked Wes what he thought it was best to pour on:
It’s great on cream cheese, charcuterie boards, and any meat.
This has inspired me to make a cheese board soon (it's my secret talent- I'm amazing at assembling them). It's wonderful to have something like that to look forward to.
So is your mouth watering? Are you saying, "Shut up and take my money!" like I am?
You can purchase Big Wick's Fuego flavor exclusively through the Big Wick's website, or at Lubbock's Raider Red Meats (1308 Indiana Ave) which happens to be a perfect place to pick up high-quality meat to try your Fuego on.
It's no secret I'm a huge fan of Big Wick's, and I am thrilled for this new, spicy offering. Congratulations to my friends the Wickers, killing the culinary game yet again.
