The Beach Boys’ Mike Love Explains the John Stamos Connection
In part 2 of our interview with Mike Love of The Beach Boys, he explains how John Stamos came to be a part of the band.
Mike Love said that John Stamos became friends with some members of the band back in the days when he played Blackie Parrish on the daytime soap, General Hospital back in 1982. That was Stamos' first role.
According to Love, the beloved actor has always been a huge fan and was even the main ingredient behind the Beach Boys movie getting made, as well as the 2000 TV miniseries; he had a hand in producing both.
Love explains that Stamos backs them up on drums, and that they even back him up on the song Forever that he sang on Full House when his character Uncle Jesse married Rebecca.
It's a long musical history that The Beach Boys and John Stamos share, and they're bringing their fun-filled song fest to Lubbock Monday, March 7, to City Bank Coliseum. We can't wait!
