If you aren't familiar with Meow Wolf, it's a super cool interactive art exhibit that began in Santa Fe and has now set up art exhibits in Denver, as well as Las Vegas. Sadly, Lubbock does not have anything like it. Friends of mine have traveled to New Mexico to visit the majestic display of creativity, and I will actually be heading to Las Vegas next month to see it myself...BUT...I think it would do really well if they put one together here in Lubbock. Join me in begging them to come to town!

Lubbock is much more art savvy than outsiders might think and if you pair our artsy crowd with our huge university and all of the cities in the surrounding area, I believe hosting the exhibit here would be a huge success. If they are worried ticket sales might be low, I honestly don't think it would be a problem. It might even bring more tourism our direction. Plus, there are a plethora of local artists that would love to help put it together.

So, this is my plea: Meow Wolf, won't you please come to town? We need some imaginative fun around these parts. This would certainly be much different than a trip to a buttoned-up museum, which is pretty much all you are going to find around here.

For now, the closest one to us is Santa Fe, New Mexico. If you happen to have a chance to check it out, let us know what you think! If you'd like to check out upcoming projects, you can visit their website here.
