There’s A New Weekly Open Mic Comedy Night In Lubbock

Raider's Axe Gallery & Entertainment, located at 1408 Ave F, will now be hosting a comedy open mic night every Sunday evening at 6 pm. If you are looking for a fun date, or even thinking about trying some of your own jokes, this is a great venue for such an occasion.

The local axe throwing business has been gaining more and more interest lately with live music and performance arts. This new comedy night will be an incredibly fun addition. The venue is BYOB, which is just one of the many awesome things about Raider's Axe Gallery. I've performed there multiple times and I've even shown some art there at the First Friday Art Trail. They have a showcase room where you can check out local artist displays, and if you are a fan of the art trail and you haven't been to Raider's before, you'd better check it out!

If you are a prospective comedian, sign-ups for the evening will begin at 5:30 pm, so make sure you get there in time to put your name on the list, talk yourself out of it, scratch it off, and then change your mind and put it back on there. It happens to the best of us! You'll be great! Don't even worry. The comedians in Lubbock are some of the nicest and most supportive people in town, and they love nothing more than a new bold person, spicing up the mix.
