If you're like me then you love the Marvel Universe super hero movies, but have gotten lost in the multiple story lines. Well the website CNET.com has compiled the ultimate chronological list to watch them in order.

OK so that's confusing. But I'll explain the best that I can. There are story lines that tie together all of the movies, and even the TV shows from Netflix and broadcast TV. I'm not going to include the TV stuff because that's just overload for my brain. If you want to full list with the TV series too, you can find it here.

But the movies, which I have seen almost everything that's been released, are also tied together with plot points. If you just watch the movies in the order they were released, it skips around the Marvel world's timeline. So you need to watch them in a different order for the story lines to mesh properly. Or at least I think that's what you're supposed to do. This is what the "real world" would have been if the movies had been released according to where they supposedly happen in reality, not just how they were really released, to our reality. Get it? Me neither. And obviously the movies overlap, and maybe this order could have some of the movies change place, but mostly this is the timeline, or order of movies, for the Marvel characters world.

Here is that order, with the associated trailers for each movie.

It all starts with Captain America: The First Avenger. This shows you how this list will be out of the order the movies were released, since technically Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iran Man 2, and Thor were all released prior to the first Avenger. But Captain America fought in WWII, which is way before any of the other super heroes were made.

So again, #1 movie to watch is Captain America: The First Avenger

  • 2

    Iron Man

  • 3

    The Incredible Hulk

Even though the movie Hulk, the first one with Eric Bana, was horrible, this one isn't better. But it does fall into this current Marvel world, so its on here. But you can skip it since Mark Ruffalo's third version of the Hulk is the best one anyway.
