It’s Time to Go Play Golf in Lubbock for a Good Cause
It's time for the Ragin' Cajun golf tournament to benefit Special Olympics Texas. The event will be held Friday, April 21st at the Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock.
This will be a four-person scramble, with lunch and dinner provided, as well as other great prizes.
But what I like most about this tournament is that it benefits Special Olympics Texas.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
If you've never been to a Special Olympics event, then please go see one. The drive and motivation these special athletes have is inspiring. And by participating in the tournament, you get to see the labor of love you get to help with.
