On Saturday, May 5  the city of Lubbock will host the annual Lubbock Lemonade Day to promote the importance of entrepreneurship for kids all across the South Plains.

This event offers kids the opportunity to experience what it takes to own and operate a business of their own.

The goal is to create civic awareness by creating hundreds of new businesses (lemonade stands) right here in the Hub City in one day.

These young business owners get to keep what they earn, with many donating their profits to local charities.
