Top 6 Movies About Vampires [VIDEO]
Ready for some fun? I have 11 lists of scary movies to get you ready for Halloween (don't worry, the 11th list is movies NOT to watch). I hope to cover everything from Aliens to Murder Clowns.
So I can only tell you what I enjoyed and what I think you'll enjoy. For instance, the movie Vampire$ and Let The Right One In did not make the list even though they're personal favorites. I try not get far off the beaten path with these lists. Let's start with my Top 6 Must See Movies About Vampires [VIDEO]
- 1
30 Days Of Night
This is far away my favorite vampire movie. It's so odd that it takes place in a snowbound location. Then again, that ups the stakes because there are only so many places you can hide when everything is frozen. Oh, and the fact that night last a long, long time in Alaska.
- 2
Near Dark
I love the western locals that Near Dark uses. I also like the mythology they set up for the vampires (they use sunscreen). Don't let the cheesy trailer turn you off.
- 3
Interview With A Vampire
This movie doesn't get the credit it deserves because the actors are seen as a bit cheesy now. Well, we though that same thing while they were making the movie. The proof is on film, this movie is awesome and Tom Cruise kills it as the brat prince Lestat

Daybreakers
Here's turning a vampire movie on its head. This is a world of vampires who are facing blood shortages. Oh, and some folks want to save the humans too. I loved the effects and atmosphere of this movie.

From Dusk To Dawn
Looking back theres a few things about this movie that are really cheesy. Myself, I have no problem looking past those moments to the really innovative atmosphere and tone of this movie. Let's not forget the funny moments either with Cheech Marin of Cheech and Chong.

Bram Stoker's Dracula
This is the best pure vampire movie on the list. I tend to like the ones with a twist a bit more, but this one is almost as iconic and genre defining as the original black and white Dracula (which I don't list because I don't think I can get anyone to watch the super old stuff).
