Thanksgiving is coming up, and our friends at United Supermarkets know you may have some questions about turkey.

Brenda Garcia with United Supermarkets joined me today to discuss how long you should thaw a frozen turkey, plus let our audience know about where they can find some good tips and tricks.

According to Garcia, if your frozen turkey is between 10-18 pounds, it will take about 3-4 days in the refrigerator to thaw. If cooking a 30-pound turkey, it will take 6-7 days to thaw.

Garcia suggested thawing the turkey in your refrigerator, un-opened, and breast side up. Place your turkey into a big tray and cover it with water. She also suggested buying a fresh turkey.

If you aren't sure about how to cook a turkey, Garcia suggested going to United's Facebook page, where they're posting tips and tricks leading up to Thanksgiving.
