Two Docs Celebrates 4th Annual ‘Doktoberfest’ With Live Music And German Food
October will be here sooner than you realize, so you can go ahead and start getting excited to celebrate the 4th annual 'Doktoberfest' at Two Docs Brewing Co., with food trucks, live music, and of course, BEER!
Doktoberfest is their biggest festival of the year, according to their Facebook page, and this year they will be showcasing Tech Tech School of Music's first ever polka band, featuring two clarinets, trumpet, trombone, tuba, drums, and accordion.
If you can't make it to Germany for the real thing, this is definitely the next best option. Every year I tell myself I'm going to go to the real Oktoberfest, and sadly, every year I have to work instead. Who needs money anyway? Maybe next year will be my year...
Food trucks featuring yummy German-style food will be set up at the event from noon until 9 pm. I'm definitely hoping I'll be able to find a good schnitzel. Side note: If you've never had a real schnitzel, I just want to apologize in advance that it has NOTHING to do with a hot dog. Wienerschnitzel really messed up by naming a hot dog place after a breaded and deep-fried beef steak. Wtf were they thinking?
I digress.
Mark your calendars for October 1st and head over to spend the day at Two Docs. You might even find yourself a good pair of lederhosen to wear so that you can be extra authentic, and also so that we can all laugh at you...kidding...(or am I?)...
Sounds like a plan! I'll see you there! Prost!
