TxDOT To Hold Public Meeting Over Loop 88
TxDOT's plan for Loop 88 has been one that has lots of Lubbock County residents talking.
And TxDOT wants to talk to you at another public meeting regarding the outer loop project.
From TxDOT:
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is hosting a public meeting for the proposed Loop 88 project on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Lubbock-Cooper Performing Arts Center, 16302 Loop 493, Lubbock, Texas 79423. Displays will be available for viewing beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the public meeting, including a formal presentation, will begin at 6 p.m.
The purpose of the public meeting is to present proposed project information and route locations for Loop 88 segments 1 and 2 (US 84, Shallowater, to US 62/82, Wolfforth) and segment 4 (US 87, in south Lubbock to US 84, Slaton) and receive public comments. The proposed project would construct a six-lane freeway with ramps and frontage roads. Interchanges will be developed at cross streets, US 84, FM 2641 near Shallowater, and at US 84 and CR 7500 near Slaton. The proposed improvements would require additional right-of-way and would result in commercial and residential displacements within the project limits.
So if you are interested and want to hear about whats going on, and have your say then do it! The only way TxDOT knows what you want is to hear from you.
