WalletHub Report Suggests Lubbock Is A Good Place To Enjoy Staycations
On Wednesday, May 20th, personal-finance website, WalletHub released a list of over 180 cities in a report for 2020's Best & Worst Cities for Staycation.
Lubbock is ranked 57th overall on the list and I think that is a fair assessment since I have enjoyed many staycations here at home.
In order to determine the best and worst cities for staycation, WalletHub evaluated two key dimensions: Recreation and Rest & Relaxation.
Lubbock certainly has challenges for recreation activities simply because of our topography and geographic location in relation to other nearby communities.
Living here is definitely better for rest & relaxation compared to larger cities. Increased stress in a larger community is understandable with all of the traffic and congestion usually associated with a normal commute that those of us living in Lubbock take for granted being able to get almost anywhere within fifteen minutes or less.
